SoundBoard Academy
Our premier program, SoundBoard Academy, opens doors for underrepresented youth interested in pursuing careers in the music industry. Through group education sessions, participants learn about the wide range of careers in music and how these roles intersect, guided by program directors and guest speakers from across the industry who share their expertise and career insights.
After the initial few group sessions, each participant is paired with a mentor in their desired field, whether it be A&R, artist management, songwriting, or other areas of the industry. Mentors work closely with participants to provide hands-on guidance, real-world experience, and opportunities to build professional networks. Cohorts also collaborate on a capstone project that showcases their new skills and highlights the cross-functional teamwork required for success in music.
Throughout the program, mental health and wellness initiatives are integrated into both group and mentorship sessions. Participants will complete SoundBoard Academy not only ready to take the next step in their music careers, but also equipped with the skills and tools needed to build sustainable, long-lasting careers in an industry known for its unique pressures and mental health challenges.
