SoundBoard Scholars

SoundBoard Scholars is a dedicated fund supporting emerging music industry professionals from underrepresented communities as they take the next step in their careers. Whether pursuing music education, internships, or entry-level roles, the fund provides financial assistance that removes barriers and helps talented young people pursue careers in the music business, regardless of circumstance. In addition to financial support, recipients receive a complimentary session with a financial advisor to build foundational financial skills and make the most of the funds provided, thanks to our partners at Freund & Smith Advisors of Northwestern Mutual. By bridging the critical gap between education and industry, SoundBoard Scholars invests in the next generation of diverse music leaders and equips them with the tools needed for long-term career success.

A portion of SoundBoard Scholars funding also provides stipends to our Student Advisory Board, a group of emerging music professionals who collaborate directly with our team to help shape SoundBoard’s programming and initiatives.

Through the SoundBoard Scholars fund, we are not only investing in individual careers, but also helping build a more equitable and inclusive future for the music industry.
